My son is 10 months old. His eating habits are quite bad ...
He loves to eat, but is too busy exploring or playing ... hence, i need to feed him based on my time-table ( rather than his hunger cues )...
When i offer him food, it must b along with playing ...he will eat it readily but he needs to be distracted by his toys ( and sometimes new ones ) - if he is not hungry he will take out all the food from his mouth..( so I offer only upto this point )..
i still feed him ... if i give him food - he plays with it and not eat...i have tried different consistencies as well...but no change....
so playing, is very very important for him ( even so if wakes up in the night - he first want to play for a while before asking me for milk / crying )
so please tell me :
1. either i am cultivating bad habits in him by not making him sit at one place and eating
2. or it's okay, and this will change as he grows ?
He hates bottles, wont take milk from anywhr else but my breast... so i am 24X7 dedicated to his food needs...
Re: Is this just a phase too ?
Sorry to say but it's probably #1. My LO has started fighting his bottle after a couple of ounces (because he wants to go play) so what I started doing is putting him in his high chair and then he drinks the rest of the bottle.
I think
