Just started Prednisolone

My son is 7months old and his eczema has gotten so bad that the doctor has prescribed him prednisolone for 3days. The doctor warned me that it would be bitter and might be hard for me to give to him. Has anyone else done this? Is it possible I could mix it with a little applesauce or something? It does say to take with food.

My son had to take it for breathing issues. I mixed it with his bottle or whatever food I was feeding him. That's what the doctor told me to do.

I was told not to mix it because it would make her food taste bad and she might stop eating. We do deal with eating issues here, though. We had to put it in her nebulizer it was so bad!

Never had to give it to LO. But ugh, I hate prednisone, I refuse to take it now. It makes me not sleep, last time I took it I quit after 3 days because I was exhausted but could not sleep. One of my coworkers won't take it because it makes him have a hard

R has taken it 3 or 4 times for asthma related wheezing problems and it has a grape flavor and is sweet so she doesn't have problems with it.

I will also add be prepared to sleep a little less.  The days she has taken it mean she usually has a wakeful period at night.  That part sucks but the better breathing is worth it for us.
