Milk and yogurt

As I have said before we are doing a dairy trial for A (still going well!). I know that in the past a few of you have posted that your LOs won't drink milk. Well A won't drink it either. I was surprised about that. I tried chocolate milk too and he is not interested. So has anyone had success with getting LO to drink milk? The pedi GI is really adamant about dairy multiple times a day and I am having a hard time doing it without the milk.

He also won't eat regular yogurt. I thought he would like it much better than the almond yogurt. I like the price difference that is for sure! I have only tried yoplait yogurts with him. What brands do your LOs like? I am going to have to pick up some different kinds to try with him.

  • O won't drink milk, one day I had success getting him to have a few ounces by adding a vanilla flavor syrup (found by coffee in the grocery store).

He loves yogurt, we buy him Stonyfield YoToddler or just a big tub of their whole milk French

  • It took a few months after introducing cows milk for N to drink more than a few sips. She surely doesn't guzzle it but maybe drinks 8oz a day TOTAL and she is drinking skim milk. She eats YoKids yogurt by Stonyfield Farms and I also tried Chobani Gre

A friend's kid wouldn't touch milk and the pedi recommended she use vanilla soy milk for a bit.  It's sweeter and tastes more like bm or formula.

  • Augie's not a good milk drinker either.  He will only drink it out of a certain sippy (it's a Nuk sippy intended for like 4 month olds with a plastic nipple) and it has to be warmed up.  So basically it's like he's having a bottle but it's te

  • I switched Owen to almond milk because I think the lactose constipates him, but I think he enjoys it much more! I'm also making a smoothie a few times a week to get in more calcium and fruit. i put cocunut milk, which has a considerable amount of fat! wou

  • Have you tried greek yogurt? My girls will eat any yogurt, but prefer greek, I think because they like the thicker texture better. It's also easier for them to eat on their own, sticks to the spoon better!

Another way to get milk into LO is to ma

  • Good call on smoothies.  I do 1 cup milk, 1 frozen banana, a tbsp of peanut butter, a couple ice cubes, and a little squirt of hershey's syrup.  It takes like dessert but has lots of good stuff for Aug to share with me.

  • We don't have issues with milk, so I'm no help there.

O will eat chobani Greek yogurt in te squeeze tube, you can freeze them also. She likes a local yogurt called "noosa" it's SO good! We also have done wallababy which she also liked.

  • B has always been fan of plain whole milk, so I'm not much help there. Maybe try playing with the temperature. Warm it if you've only offered it to him cold. B also loves pretty much any yogurt, but one of her favorites is the Danimal yogurt smoothies.

  • Try Chobani greek yogurt tubes - or even gogurt tubes.  Did you see my HDBD post yesterday?  I froze a tube and gave it to him - he looooved it.

J definitely prefers greek yogurt to regular - and strawberry to anything else.&nb

  • We do a LOT of yogurt smoothies like Alli&Dan suggested. We get the Stonyfield Farm YoKids kind and they are one of L's favorites. I think they are 4 oz. We peel back the foil top just enough to stick a straw in it and she loves holding it and drinkin
  • Thank you for your suggestions. MS I did see your HDBD post and got some yogurt tubes. I also bought some of the yogurt brands you guys suggested to try with A. I will have to try smoothies again. We tried in the past but he wasn't a fan when I used the a
