Nickname for Dismas?

I know it is a bit out there for most people, but for those who don't know, Dismas is the name tradionally given to the "good thief" who Jesus promised would be with him in Heaven. I like the sound of it, and the meaning behind it. My q is what do you think a boy named Dismas would end up being called? Would his friends end up calling him Dis?

    Is it pronounced Dizmas or

  • Honestly buys get all kinds of crazy nicknames from their friends whatever your son ends up with probably won't remotely sound like his name or will be a shortened version of his last name so I wouldn't worry about it. Whatever you call him as a nn is wha
  • I've never heard this name before, but I really like the sound of it!

Yes, nn could end up being Dis. Or just D. Do you have a middle name chosen yet? You could always chose something that would create an initial nickname. For example, choose
