Reintro: Diagnosis Day

Hi Everyone, I've written with questions a few times but have sort of remained mostly on the sidelines while we awaited a diagnosis. DS will turn 3 next month and he's been in early intervention for 6 months addressing mostly speech, special instructuion, and OT. After 3 visits to CHOP we finally got the ASD diagnosis. Going into it I was not sure how to feel or what to wish for. Part of me was hoping for a diagnosis because of the hope of access/ funding for more therapy but of course part of me hoped to not be diagnosed because there is really no going back. But I do at this point feel mostly relief. And now just trying to navigate what comes next and what to do going forward.

Right now I'm looking for a preschool program to meet his needs. The developmental pedi recommended a center based program once he turns 3. Anyone have any tips on how you found a preschool whether or not its private or through your intermediate unit? How has the experience been for you?
