I started taking G to a sorta nursery/preschool/mommy and me class. I noticed he liked clean up time a lot. I mean, a lot. At the end of the day during clean up time he'll clean his toys and then go and clean up everyone elses toys. I mean, thats great that he tidys up and hes helpful but even *during* playtime he tries to clean other kids toys up. Like a few times today when kids were trying to take boxes of toys out, G would be all "no! clean up!" And then he found the kids play vacuum and kept pretending to vacuum the floor.
At first it was cute but now that I'm really thinking about it, DH is a clean freak and constantly telling G to clean up after himself at home. For example, right now if G is done playing with cars, we tell him to clean that stuff up before going on to the next activity. So he tidys up several times a day. Maybe I should institute one big clean up time at the end of the day before bedtime? What do you guys do? I don't want G catching DHs obsessive cleaning behavior but its nice to have G understand the need to tidy up after himself.
And have your LOs caught any of your weird/bad habits?
Re: LO and your weird habits
Well, at least it's a good habit for him to have! I am messy and I worry that that rubs off on Alexander!
I mean, you may want to just do a clean up before nap and one before bedtime just to stress to him that it's ok to have stuff out if you ar
We clean up after each activity. So if he's playing cars and wants to color, he has to put his cars away before getting to use his crayons. Then he has to put the crayons away before playing kitchen, etc.

O is obsessive about laundry-as in we have a stool in front of the washer and dryer so he can watch the time tick down and when it gets to 3 he will come get me "Mama, dree eft" and then I go sit with h
