Would you have a problem with naming your daughter a nickname for your given name?

My legal name is Elizabeth but my entire life I have been called Libby. Like only my maternal grandparents called me Elizabeth. I adore the name Eliza but am wondering if it would be too weird.

What do you guys think?

    If you never go by Elizabeth, I don't really see a problem with it. Some people may assume you named her after yourself but, no big deal.

    Boys are named after their fathers all the time, I don't understand why people think it's considered weird for a mother to do the same with her daughter...
    I personally love Eliza and don't think it's that big of a deal if you don't even go by your

    Really love Eliza.  My DH vetoed it or it would have been my DD's name.

    This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! 
    DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome.
    131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
    We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
