Hi ladies! Any of you take docusate sodium stool softener while pregnant? my doctors office is closed today and in desperate need of relief! Wondering how safe it is!! Thank you!!

Go take a colace. I think it's the same thing.

I've been taking it my entire pregnancy. Yes, it is the same is colace.  Hope you get some relief soon!

Yes it is fine.  Its the generic name for Colace- there is no difference in either that you take.

It does take a few days to kick in, so don't expect immediate results.

Mine took effect within a couple hours. In the meantime, try apple juice. It's a natural laxative. Also, maybe a warm bath to help with the cramps :

Yep, Colace is the same. Maybe try eating some kiwi in the meantime- natural laxative effect (and yummy!)
