thoughts on Piper?

I think Piper can be kind of a fun name, but I'm not sure if I would ever use it. I've been hearing it around a lot lately, so it made me wonder if it's just a super trendy name.

How popular is this name where you live? Would you ever use it?

I think it's trendy. Beyond that I think it just doesn't age well. I would never use it.

It's trendy. I do think it's kind of cute, even though it's totally not my usual style, but I agree with pp's that it doesn't age well. I think it's too cute.

I've never met a Piper. It's kind of a GP name for me. It's the sort of name I shouldn't like according to me usual rules, but I kind of do. There are a ton of girl names I would rather use, though.

I've only met one Piper and she was an adult, but I'm not one to worry about a name "aging well".

My SIL is Piper. Was class president, is studying biochemistry and is on her way to dental school. She is the only Piper I have ever known, so I think it ages fine.

I just don't see what people find attractive about this name. Pipe - like a plumpbing pipe, a smoking pipe.... or Piper like the Pied Piper. Why do people think this is a cute name for a girl or woman?

I don't personally know of any so I don't know how popular it is around here. I think it's a really cute name, but I don't know that I would ever use it. It strikes me as one of those names that's cute on a little girl, but doesn't transition all th
