So, I've received some odd comments when babywearing, but today was just... Wow...
B was asleep in the K'tan while I shopped for groceries. The guy at the checkout counter (maybe late teens/ early 20's) goes:
"it's a good thing you carry him in front because if he's on your back, somebody could steal your baby"
What.The.F?!? Thanks for the warning, psycho.
Re: Babywearing Comments
...because he's just...placed in there...not secure or anything.
Weirdo.</
I've gotten some crazy looks and even a "Do you know you have a baby in there?" while I had him in the KTan. No, stupid, I had absolutely no idea I have a baby in there. Oy.
Comments received here in Kenya:
- If you didn't want to carry your baby while you're out, you should have just left him at home.
- I don't think he can breathe in there.
- I should slap you for bringing a newborn out like that.
