how to get 2 y/o to sleep in her own bed?

DH's coworker has a 2 y/o daughter who had reflux as an infant, so she slept on daddy's chest until 9 mos and has been sleeping in bed with mom and dad since. Both of my kids were more than happy to sleep in their own beds, so I didn't have any advice to give him, but I said I'd check here for him. She isn't happy unless she's in physical contact with someone, even for naps. How do they transition her from their bed to hers?
