9mos and not talking

My son hardly says anything at all. He is not a babbler. He does not do mama our dada. However he has word recognition down. Is this something to be worried about.

At 9 months, it's way too early to expect the baby to be saying mama or dadda or any words.  The most you should be getting is just generally babbling, some consonant sounds (bababa), and some squealing.  If you're worried, you should check i

My doctor had us worried...that is why I ask. At our 9 month check up, she acted like it was wierd that he wasn't.
