I am sorry if this has been discussed recently. I haven't been on the board much this weekend and when I looked back the last few days I didn't see it mentioned.

Anyway, DH and I are thinking about having an elective gender determination ultrasound next weekend. I will be 16 weeks 1 day by then. Have any of you done this with previous pregnancies or do you know how accurate it could be? Or should we just wait it out?

I don't know about the accuracy at that point.  I'd wait it out depending on when you a/s is.

There aren't places where I live that do them, and my a/s is scheduled at 18 weeks or I would have considered it, if the price was low enough. &nbs

When I called to schedule our gender ultrasound with our local 4D facility, they said 17 weeks is the earliest they would see us. So 2 weeks from Tuesday and counting!

I found out with my 2 previous pregnancies at 15 with my son and 14 with my daughter.  They were both accurate, I am trying to stay on team green this time but we will see.  They are really cheap here in San Diego everyone goes and does it early

I found out at 15w with my daughter! I found a place that will do them at 14 weeks and I full intend on scheduling it!!

Just make sure the sonographer has a lot of years under their belt and mine mentioned the only false positives you can have is if its a girl because sometimes if its too early and the male parts haven't shown up by the time of the ultrasound then you may

We did with both boys.. I was just that anxious to find out. Plus it was pretty cheap so it was a no brainer to me.  Both times it was accurate and very obvious.  This time we have it scheduled but will be finding out via MaterniT21... side bene
