Trying to Get Pregnant

The case of the missing tampon

Err Ma Gerd!

My dog got in the trash and ate a tampon. Gross! I googled it and a few sites said to just let him pass it and keep an eye on him for a few day. Has anyone's dog ever scavenged in the trash for a flow stoggie?  :headed to BBB to buy a trash can with a lid:

edit: Not the dog in the pic! We have a bog dog, too. If my little bopper ate the nasty thing I would seek a vet ASAP!

  • 1. Add me to the list of peeps who don't flush tampons. I wrap them in 5 lbs worth of toilet paper and put them in the garbage.

    2. There's something about the term "white rat" that skeeves me out.

  • I work at a Vet and you wouldn't believe some of the things dogs will eat. We have had to do lots of surgeries on dogs that have eaten tampons. They cause intestinal blockages. Some dogs can pass them, some can't. Watch him closely and if you notice any v

  • My dog used to eat used pantyliners. I finally had to start keeping our bathroom trash up out or reach. Thankfully he always passed them no problem!

  • One of my parent's dogs would do this all the time when I was in high school. Nothing like coming home to finding the bathroom garbage all over the house!

My dog that I have now used to get into the garbage before we got a bin with a step

  • I'm lame and flushed them until I got my own house and had to worry about the maintenance. Never had an issue before that either way, though.

    Hope your dog is okay.

  • both of my dogs have done this! They are NOT allowed upstairs at all anymore.

They are 20lbs and 8lbs,  They have both passed them just fine...along with all sorts of other terrible things they ate as puppies.

    Keep a close
