Update on post titled: Is Night weaning the only solution here?

So I decided not to night wean.  I realized that DD's problem is that she doesn't know how to go to sleep without the boob.  Which is why she is getting up so often and why she needs to nurse constantly when cosleeping.  Anyway, what I have been doing the last 3 nights is changing our bedtime routine.  We used to do bath, pjs, books, and then nurse to sleep.  Now we have been doing bath, pjs, nurse with the lamp on, books, and then I turn off the lights and I rock her until she's asleep.  She does cry a little because she's so used to nursing but it hasn't been that bad.

It has taken me longer to put her down but she is sleeping so much better.  The first night she slept in her crib for 5 hours before her first wakeup.  The second and third night she slept for 3 hours.  This is a vast improvement since she used to be waking up every hour.  When she wakes up I do bring her into our bed and even the nursing non stop while she is in our bed has improved.  I am going to continue to work with her on this.
