I am a little over 4 weeks PP. My bladder is still not communicating with my brain. If I don't remember to make myself go, I can go all day without going to the bathroom. I'm assuming this is the result of the catheters. Just now I realized I haven't gone since about 11:30am while I was out running around all day.
My bleeding is done (for now...), so no more blood or clots in the toilet or when I wipe. I've switched to a yellow-orange discharge. Just to list another possible symptom -- I sometimes have pain in both lower sides/back. Because of the bladder issue, I can't help but wonder if it's kidney-related or if I'm crazy and it's just back pain. I would think there would be blood or painful urination if I had something going on with the kidneys.
My follow up appt is in two weeks. Should I try to go in sooner or is this all pretty typical?
Re: Bladder communication
That doesn't sound right to me. I'd want to get checked.
I'm not an expert, but didn't have any issues with my bladder after either time having a catheter. Four weeks just seems a long time to still be having issues.

Hmm... looks like I'll be calling the doc in the AM. I didn't think this would be so weird!
I have always been able to pee, my body just never triggers me that my bladder is full or that I have to go. I have to stop and make myself go i
