Mobile users: Mei tais: Do you get what you pay for?
Right now, I've got a Beco Gemini that I like, but I don't feel like my 90th percentile DD is being adequately supported in it anymore. We also have a ring sling that I like and we use for hip carries, but I can't keep her in it for as long as my other carrier.
I want a carrier that I can use a high back carry for, so I've been looking at mei tais and wovens. I decided to just do a DIY cotton gauze wap for the heat of the summer, but still am interested in a mei tai for the ease of use. I was looking at the Babyhawk mei tai, and then I found the Infantino one, which has good reviews on amazon, but I was wondering what the experienced BW moms here thought of it. Is the babyhawk significantly better, or more supportive? I would rather pay less if I'm not giving up quality since I also want to get a new, larger SSC pretty soon.

I had an infantino last time and splurged on a Freehand this time. I would say the infantino is stiffer and has some slightly annoying instruction labels, but it was pretty functional and I used it for a high back carry. I liked it, I just lent it out

I have the Infantino and have been using it now for about 9-10months, and we use it a lot and only in high back carries. It is IMO, good quality for the price. It is holding up well and it is a bit stiff but has broken in a bit.
