Does anyone have experience with this? I've been treated for what I thought was mastitis for the last month. Finally after finding the right dr and doing a culture it turned out its Mrsa! I am so upset and stopped bf immediately out if fear of passing it to my son. I am not trying to dry up my supply much sooner than I wanted to and it's making me so upset. Just curios if anyone else ever had this ...

    If I remember correctly you also abscessed? I had/have mastitis that when cultures was found to be MRSA. I was hospitalized for a week on IV antibiotics first was vancomycin which I was told was one of the strongest available. Turns out I was resistan

    Also my son never got sick at all and was ok'd to keep pumping.

    I would have had the ok to breastfeed too but due to his own issues he needs thickened liquids and uses a Haberman nipple.

    I would be sure to check with your doc

    Yes I did ! I had the same iv drip as you and have now been on clyndamycin for 4 days. I've been having the fluid drained everyday this week and will likely continue next week. I feel like I'm on the mend as well as the lump is much smaller and the rednes

    Yes I am. I was told that all the antibiotics were safe and feel like I some of the best care. I was seen in Boston and one of the best hospitals, in my opinion.

    Every dr and LC that came to see me said it was safe. I also used Lactmed w

    The fever went away but the flu like symptoms were still present but not as severe. I continued to have drenching sweats too and the lump and redness only grew and got more tender.
