Postpartum Depression

Hmm..

Hi Im new to this board...a couple weeks ago I suspected PPD and not mentioning it to my counsler (whom Ive seen since Jan due to many things going on in my life) she told me to call my doctor right after the session to say that she suspects PPD...I did and after some questions with a nurse decided it was situational depression and was told I could start meds or try counseling or other alternatives....fast forward to now, I just had my 6 week (although its been 7 now) checkup yesterday and after telling doc Ive had no appetite and then that leading to other questions...I had to take a test and talk with my doc so basically its confirmed I have PPD....and am put on zoloft.

Originally I wanted to post questions about zoloft but after browsing the board I seemed to have found my answers....

I do have a question about peoples partners...how did they react with your PPD?

im in a weird situation as my husband is military and wasnt here for the birth and just came a week ago so he missed a lot and he went with me to my appointment and after when I mentioned having to go on zoloft he didnt really say much....so just wondering about others significant others.
