Best Hand Vac?

So random question for you all.  We have an Oreck upright vacuum with no attachments.  We have a cat and a crawling baby so I want to get the steps and all of the cracks and crevices and the vacuum is not cut out for that.  Does anyone have a hand vac that plugs in that they love?  I have a shark cordless/bagless and it loses power too quickly and it pretty dirty when you empty the dirt cup.  I figured I would see if anyone has any insight.  Thanks!

Cycle 12~ 50 mg Clomid=BFP 9/9/11, Beta #1=280 & Beta #2=1513, 6w3d hb=122 bpm/ 8w2d hb=186 bpm/12w2d could not hear hb had a 3rd u/s and got to see the hb. 16w2d heard the hb! 156 bpm. A/S 1/3=girl

    Not a hand vac but I LOVE my dyson. Got it for Christmas two year ago and it is absolutely the best vacuum I have ever used. It has attachments and a 17 foot extendable hose

    I have a Dyson DC44 Animal Digital Slim and love love love it. The long part for the floor detaches and it becomes a hand vac, and comes with several attachments. It's cordless, but lasts a surprisingly long time. I can generally get more than 20 minutes'
