Just curious what people think of this name...

Its a possibility that I would like to use some form of my fathers name (Daniel) or a similar type name in my childs name (when I have one

My name is Danielle, so that is off the table.

ETA. I know you didn't ask but if you really want to honor your father, why not just wait until/if you have a boy and use Daniel as a FN or MN?

Danica is okay. Isn't there some race car driver named Danica? I'm not a fan of racing at all, but the association is in my head somewhere.

I know of it pronounced two ways. Danica Patrick the racecar driver pronounces it Dan-ih-ka. A girl I grew up with pronounces it Dah-knee-ka. I have no idea how Winnie from The Wonder Years pronounces it.

I knew a super biotchy girl in HS with the name, so personally I'm turned off by it, but it isn't a bad name. I imagine you'll get the racing reference quite a bit though.
