Do most/all women have baby showers? I don't want to have one .. I have a few reasons why I don't. My mom and best friend are insisting that I have one, even if it is small.. But I'm just not into it. Is that weird or rude of me?

Haha I have told them and they just say ohh it'll be so fun .. I hate having attention on me.. I feel awkward and don't like it. I don't enjoy people giving me gifts for the baby or otherwise.. And I live really far away from everyone I would want to shar

Some women dont after there 2nd or 3rd and etc but if this is your first I dont see why not but then yet you said you have your reasons. Id say let them do a small one cause even though YOUR the one having the baby. he or she is becoming apart of YOUR fam

No. But if your best friend really wants to throw you one, I would let her. Coming from a girl who is so so excited to plan a bridal shower for a very low key bride, I just want to do something nice for her!!

You could tell them you prefer not to have a baby shower, but maybe they would want to throw a "meet the baby" party or BabyQ once LO arrives and you feel comfortable having people around the baby. That was friends and family get to meet the baby, they ge

I didn't have one with my first LO.  Just say no and be polite about it.
