Ok, FTM here. I read a lot of posts on this board (and even some on 0-3) about bedtimes, and putting baby down at 9pm, 10pm, etc.
My daughter is 14 weeks. She's sleeping through the night now for over a week, which is amazing. Her naps during the day have gotten shorter, which is fine with me. She is usually down for the night between 10pm-11pm.
I'm seeing posts where people do bath time, story, cuddling, bed. Right now, our daughter is dictating when she falls asleep. I'm a work at home mom, so its fine with me if she's asleep a little later in the night. It means (for now) she's sleeping later into the morning.
Sorry if this is a silly question, but are your babies drowsy or all the way asleep when you put them down? If I put my daughter down before she was ready, it would become a miserable scream fest for everyone. Am I messing up by not having a real scheduled bed time yet? 14 weeks seems early, but would appreciate input from other moms and dads.
Re: Question about bedtime
DD's bedtime is slowly moving up. For a long time it was 10, then 9 and this week around 8. She gets fussy after 6:30ish so I know I need to get the bedtime routine started then. she's 12 weeks.
I think soon is when a b

I don't think we had a bedtime routine yet at that age. Maybe around 14-15 weeks though so it wouldn't hurt to try to get something in place. I usually lay DS down when he is drowsy, but sometimes he is totally out but then he will wake up in about 30
We started a bedtime routine around 8 weeks since I went back to work at that time. Starting at 7:00: bathtime, lotioning/massage, bottle and bedtime story, and then bed. Initially, I rocked him to sleep. So, he was completely out pri

DS usually goes to bed between 9-10:30. Not much of a routine. Diaper change/undershirt, feed (always in our bedroom because that's where he sleeps) and bed. If he doesn't fall asleep while nursing I just put him down awake and he fal
DS falls asleep between 7:30 and 8:30pm. Our routine starts after dinner around 6:30 or 6:45pm with a bath (only 3 days a week, if no bath then we just do some wipe down of his neck, chest, hands, armpits, diaper area), lotion, new diaper, new onesie,

I always followed his cues for when he's sleepy. Then we'd change into PJ's, get his last bottle and snuggle/read a book after the bottle and he'd fall asleep. He has to be held for 15 min after eating b/c of reflux, so he's usually complet
