I should win a prize on keeping my mouth shut! So I washed DD for her bath because DH does an awful job, he doesn't really even wash the diaper area. So he played with her and washed her hair when I was done. She starts screaming while he washes her hair, then he tries in vain to calm her. The only thing that will is nursing and we both know this. So he lays her down to put lotion on her and is still trying to shush her...not working. So I say I'll try to calm her while you do the lotion. He uses like half the bottle on her, I've told him many times not to use that much so if I'd said anything it would have been a waste of breath. This whole time she's still screaming. Now he puts on her jammies and he's used so much lotion they are sticking to her...mobile irritated face...now instead of handing her to me he tries in vain for another 5 minutes to calm her. Finally he gives up and hands her to me. I know he wants to be able to calm her, but that's not how the dynamic works. He's the fun guy, I'm the soother. But this whole time I bit my tongue and let him try even though it killed me. Sorry for this huge vent, I just needed to get that out.

Oh, I can sympathize. With MH, I have to bite my tongue because he gets pissed when I give him some constructive criticism and it makes him more passive-aggressive.
