Convertible car seats

Anyone have one they like?

We have a graco snugride and I hate it, it's adorable... We have the pink and beige giraffe print... But it's a huge B too adjust especially when it's RF and its huge! I was looking at the Chicco one but it's so expensive. Any suggestions? We have a Nissan Maxima and will have a keyfit 30 infant seat in there too.

ETA: it's the my ride 65 not the snugride... Sorry!

Re: Convertible car seats

  • It depends on the size of the kid on question really. All convertibles take up a fair bit of space rf, but some may gain you more room than others. And for the most part, adjusting any seat rf is kind of a PITA. The MyRide is actually one of the better

  • DD is 16months, 30ish inches tall and 21lbs. She's tiny for her age. The main problem with our maxima, it's an '01 so not as much room as they have now, is that her seat has to go behind me because it is too big/reclined back too far to fit behind DH. <b

  • The Evenflo Symphony 65 DLX is the one I was looking at, not the plain LX... The DLX looks like its more narrow.

  • Duh, see you mentioned Chicco! I know some ladies have gotten it on a discount already, so it could still be an option. But the Facebook group is extremely helpful.
  • I've preordered a nextfit from albeebaby. They have a 15 off right now. I hope I get it soon. And I hope it is as easy to use as they advertise.
  • Although my toddler is huge, we have a Britax Marathon 70 and a Britax Roundabout 55. Compared to MIL's MyRide 65, both Britax's are much slimmer and not as balky. My sister has an Evenflo Symphony and it is much more balky than my Britax. However, it is

  • We have a Britax marathon and a Combi Cocorro. HATE the Britax. It's bulky, heavy, difficult to install, and DD gets hot in all the padding. We travel a lt so portability and easy install is important to us. The Cocorro is lightweight, great for travel an

  • We just bought the Graco MySize for DD2. I really like the seat. It has an adjustable head rest so it can be used rfing all the way to 40 lbs. Hopefully for DD2, that will be close to 4 years. The ffing height limit is 52", and my tall long torsoed almost
