Bottles compatible with Medela Pump In Style

Hi Everyone,

I have the Medela Pump in Syle (haven't used yet because I'm still pregnant). I received a gift pack of Dr Browns bottles and a gift pack of Playtex bottles. The only bottles that I have from Medela are the ones that came in the box with the pump. Should I return the other bottles and buy a few packs of the Medela bottles instead or can I use any bottles with the pump? Are there any other kinds that fit? I'd like to pump directly into a bottle that I can store in the fridge and then feed from. I'd rather not have to transfer if I don't need to. Thanks!

  • You will probably end up transferring because you may need to combine multiple pumping sessions to make up 1 bottle, or split it up because you pumped too much.

Either way, evenflo bottles will fit.

  • Dr. Brown and Evenflo will both work.
  • I didn't use Dr. Brown's, but you could probably check around to see if they sell an adapter.  I have the Medela Freestyle and we use Avent bottles which have a much wider neck.  Avent sells an adapter part to put between the pump and the bottle

  • Dr browns fit right onto medals Pisa pump. That's what I pump into saves me dishes...
  • Dr. Browns are highly preferred at our house, so I pump into the Medela or eneflow and then LO gets fed from the Dr Browns.
