Anatomy scan update :D

Had the anatomy scan today. Everything is great with no abnormalities! I didn't realize just how big she would be at nearly 20 weeks! I had a butt up near the left side of my belly button and head down towards my right hip area. I think DH was pretty impressed with everything we were able to see. At first, he was only watching the big screen on the wall, and then when I said that there was a butt by my belly button he started looking at the screen and at me to see where everything was.

She was pretty chill. Moving around, but not excessively. She was laying on one hand and at one point had one leg stretched all the way out while the other one was curled up. 

It didn't take very long. We were in with the genetic counselor at the start of the appointment longer than we were in for the ultrasound. I was in about an hour total. 

The neatest thing was that I got a USB flash drive for $20 that has some pics as well as some short 3-5 second videos so you can see the baby moving.

Although I did not cry, I can admit that at one point I was teary-eyed. It's just so neat to be able to actually see who's been in there this whole time Now I can't wait to meet her in person!!!

I'm glad it went well. I'm looking forward to mine in the next couple of weeks, and it's pretty special to get a glimpse!

Thank you! I recommend asking about the video. If I hadn't asked, I would have no idea about the USB option. Pictures are great, but having a video, even if it's only 3 seconds, just makes it so real.
