Did you all interview several pediatricians, or just go meet with one and signed up once you liked them?
I got a list of recommended ones from my doctor, and she especially recommended two that had lactation consultants on their staff. I was looking at one of their websites and they have a meet the doctor night - which also includes breastfeeding/baby basics etc along with what to expect at hospital, office information, and that kind of stuff.
Is all this overkill? We are all ready taking a separate breastfeeding class and baby basics class and are in the middle of our birth prep class. I do like the idea of going to one that has a lactation consultant though. I guess they are giving information on routine newborn tests, immunizations etc.
Also talked with a friend who just had a baby, and they said they went to talk with 3 different ones, so I was just wondering what everyone here is doing.
