12 month shot question

My dd got her 12 month shots on April 1st. She got the hepatitis A, MMR, and chicken pox. Everything went pretty normal, she ran a temp and was extra sleepy for q day. Anyways, two days ago she started to develop a rash around her neck. I racked my brain trying to think what it might be from. Today her whole body is covered in a rash and running a fever. I took her in and it's a side effect from the MMR vaccine. It doesn't normally develop until between 6 to 18 days! The chicken pox vaccine can have spots develop clear up to a month! Sure wish I had known the day she got the vaccines just so I could have been prepared! Anyone else's child having a hard time with these vaccines?

  • DS was way more irritable after the MMR than any other shot he's had before, for several days after getting it. No spots though. We are delaying on the varicella vaccine so I don't know anything about that.

Your children possibly have measels or chicken pox : I was warned about this and told to watch for it 7 to 10 days
  • DS had the MMR and chicken pox on one day and then I took him back a couple weeks later for the hep A and one other shot.  This was the first time he ever had any sort of reaction to shots.  He was really cranky for maybe 36 hours after the s

  • UPDATE:
So we ended up taking my dd to the ER last night on the advice of her pediatrician. I made my post yesterday during her nap. Well she woke up and couldn't open her eyes. I could clearly see the little red bumps on her eye lids, but her eyes

  • I would have been annoyed at the ER doc too. I read the same CDC stuff after you posted this since DD had a little rash. It's much better today. Your situation sounds scarier, tho! Hopefully you will get better answers from your pedi.
