Hi there!

Backstory I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years before DD by an internal US and blood work. We were very fortunate with DD and conceived naturally. My doctor said I was not ovulating since I only had 2-3 periods a year so we were trying but also trying not to worry about it so much. I had not been on bc for about 3 years prior to getting pregnant.  Since DD I had 2 normal cycles starting at 6 weeks and then nothing until around Thanksgiving when I had a very heavy cycle that lasted until January. I took 2 months of bc to finally get it to stop. I have had nothing since then. My DH and I decided to try and ride the easy train and start trying last summer in hopes that it's easier to get pregnant after your first. Obviously that's not working so yesterday I met with my doctor to map a plan of action out. Provera to start my cycle. Metformin until July in hopes of regulating my cycle. I will also be charting and sharing that with my doctor so she can see what?s going on. If nothing happens by the end of July I will be going back and she will be watching me closely while on Clomid. I would really appreciate any help you all can offer...

DD born 2/22/12

TTC # 2 since 7/12

DX- PCOS. Currently upping Metformin dosage and preparing to meet with RE 9/5/13.

Ist medicated cycle September 2013-BFN

1st IUI November 2013-BFP Chemical Pregnancy

2nd IUI December 2013-BFN

3rd IUI January 2014-BFP! Due 10/31/2014

    Welcome to the board.  I hope your stay here is short and sweet.

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

    4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

    5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

    Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

    August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! 
    Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14

    Welcome! I am in a similar boat and will be starting injectibles in the coming weeks...Metformin has worked wonders for me! Good luck!!!

    2/13- Clomid 100mg/Metformin 1000mg= BFN
    3/13- Clomid 100mg/Metformin 1000mg= BFN
    4/14- Meet with RE, change of plans....
    4/26- Begin Injectibles (Bravelle 150iu)
    5/6- Switch to Menopur (225iu) & 1500mf of Metformin
    5/11- Trigger
    5/13- 1st IUI - BFN
    5/29- BCP due to cyst on ovary 
    6/17- Begin injectibles (150iu Menopur)
    6/26- Trigger
    6/28- 2nd IUI-BFP
