water table

I'm looking for some outdoor activities for my 22 month old son. I was looking at the water tables they have and was wondering if kids play with them for a while or if it is just a short lived fascination? We live in a small townhouse with limited storage so I was looking for something that doesn't take up much room. We have an inflatable pool, sand box, and sprinkler toy already so I'm not entirely sure it is worth spending the money on or just get him some other things.

My 3.5 year old still loves his. The little boy that I watch, who is 4, loves it as well. Don't think they outgrow that toy for awhile!
