Labeling bottles for daycare

Hi all! I'm just wondering how you label your bottles for daycare. When we went for our test run yesterday it looks like some people wrote on masking tape with a marker, some wrote on a clear label with a marker, and some printed out white labels. If you use a label does it peel off easily without an annoying residue? Also if you have any tips that you wish you knew when you first started taking your LO to daycare please feel free to share. I can use all the help I can get. Thanks.

We aren't using bottles anymore, but we do have to label DD's lunch and water cup each day (including the date).

Here's what we do:

We bought labels with her name on them from namebubbles.com, and put those on her water cup and tupperw

For bottles, I used masking tape. I pre-labled a whole week worth on Sunday night so I just had to cut it and stick it to the bottles each evening.

amazing. We used them for DD1 and they are still on the bottles so we just crossed out her first name and put DD2s name on them....sad state of affairs for the second born!

Every day we needed to label DS's bottle with his name, the date, and the contents. I bought these printer labels:

The first couple weeks as I brought in non labeled bottles, the teachers would used masking tape and label his bottles, nipples and caps.   The tape hasn't come off at all (hand washed or dishwasher) since the first time they've done it.

For both my kids I just ordered labels from a label company on line. Never had an issue with them coming off on their own, or not coming off when I wanted to take them off.

Mabel's lables. Kind of pricy but they do a great job of staying on. I got a start up kit that included the waterproof labels and the non iron on labels for clothing.

I really like using the blue painter's tape. It doesn't leave a residue, and you can pull them off and re-use them. I have ones that say things like dinner, snack, etc. I can just slap

 My advice would be to prep everything the night before so you're not racing around in the morning.

I used a Sharpie on my Dr. Brown bottles. I have nice penmanship and I used a blue Sharpie. Even putting them in the dishwasher, it would last about 3 weeks.

I write straight on the bottles with a sharpie, but I don't have to date (I started out sending in BM in dated freezer bags, and they prepare her formula now).  It'll stay on for a day or two through washes and then I just write over it when it fades
