I am struggling with the following question: How do I know when to start feeding her more solids?? I am currently giving her a little around lunch with a bottle and then a big meal of solids around dinner. But, when should I start doing more at lunch or doing some solids for breakfast? When, do I start phasing out bottles? I can't seem to find much about this online or in her baby books and my doctor's office (well, at least the nurses) weren't too helpful either. Any tips/advice would be awesome!
Re: When do I give her MORE food?
If you feel she's ready for it, then go ahead and introduce more solids for breakfast or lunch. If she's interested or wants it, she'll eat. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer to this (except for perhaps what you give her).
I wouldn't phase out bottles without prompting from her. Maybe once a month or so start upping solids. Eventually she will reduce her bottle intake on her own. Or so they say. We had to reduce DS' two bottles that he got around solid
We asked the Dr this question at our last appointment. Our LO was just under 7 months at the time... not sure how old your LO is.
We were told that we could increase solids up to 3 times a day, and as much as he wanted at each feed.&nb
