Ugh mealtime

Has just become the worst! My little guy used to be such an awesome eater (he is 10 months old), and now he is throwing everything on the floor, sippy cup too. He will eat a couple bites and then throw everything on the floor. I do think he is cutting a few teeth so I know that could be bothering him and he doesn't want to chew but this has been happening for a little while even when he wasn't teething. Please tell me this is just a phase. I keep telling him, "no, we don't throw food on the floor," in hopes that it will someday sink in but he doesn't get it (obviously he is just a baby) and just smiles at me. Good thing he is cute

 

Any suggestions or advice?

Sometimes if they learned a new thing he may not want to be up there.  DS still throws food on the floor when he is down.  Makes me crazy b/c he knows the difference.  It should be just a phase.

We are going through the exact same thing!  I could have written your post myself.  DD is also cutting a couple of teeth, so I don't know if it is that, or if this is just a phase.  She maybe eats a couple of bites at each meal time.

It's a developmental milestone if you will & teaches them lots of things ( cause & effect, distance, etc).

My son does this too but I've found that if I only put a few pieces of food (2-4) on the tray at a time, he doesn't do it. It's just when I put quite a few on that he does it. Sometimes he'll just eat his food but if I see him start to throw things, I wil
