Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Nothing but Milk

My LO will not drink ANYTHING but milk.  Before she turned 1, we tried juice (mixed with water, there is too much sugar for my liking!), and different types of juice, we tried water.  Still, going on 13 months, she will not drink anything but milk, and will only drink it out of her sippy with the bottle nipple, not a sippy nipple.  Is there still hope?  lol Thanks in advance!

I would just keep trying water and forget the juice. Try a straw cup with ice cubes. Maybe add some lemon or lime

  • my girls are 15 months old and my one daughter LOVES drinking her water out of a sippy and can guzzle a ton a day. My other daughter is the same as yours though and will not touch water or anything that is not her milk. I've tried putting it in her bot

  • Continue to try ways to encourage her to take water, the parents above have some helpful tips.

We worry about toddlers drinking too much milk (i.e. 20+ oz per day) because they can get deficient on the other parts of their diet and get iron

  • My son has always loved water but what I would do (if I were you) is start watering down the water! Do half milk then half water one night, the next night do 2/3 water 1/3 milk, and eventually *hopefully* he'll just be drinking water
