Hello,
I have a question for those of you dealing with MFI. For the past 3+ years we have been told that my husband has severe MFI. His counts have always been below 2.5 million and recently they've been below 1 million. Our son was conceived on our 4th Clomid/IUI cycle. We've always been told that our best option would be IVF with ICSI. We recently changed RE and are on our third IUI cycle before moving onto IVF for baby #2. We are banking sperm so that we have the best possible sample on IUI day (something previous RE never even offered). Yesterday my husband gave the first sample - after wash his count was 16 million! I couldn't believe it. Has anyone else experienced such a difference for any reason? Our dr. is the only change we've made. He had varicocele surgery in '09, but there was never an improvement after that. He has not been on any meds. Thanks in advance!

Yep- one sample varied significantly from another one just six months prior. Congrats on a great sample and lots of luck with the IUI/IVF.
