When did you start oatmeal?

How did you know LO was ready? I was hopping to wait till 6 months but my 4 month old had just burned through my freezer stash.  I pump 12-13 oz when at work but I'm a little panicked about what happens if I can't keep up.  I know BF is a supply and demand thing, when I'm home it's fine but he's eating upwards of 16-20 oz when I'm away.  I started my first on solids at 5.  Thanks

Even if you did start solids now it's not really going to decrease the amount of milk LO takes.  At this age milk is really their only source of nutrition so if you are running short you will have to use formula.
