Valley Hospital Ridgewood - Experience

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to decide where I want to deliver my next LO. It will be a RCS, and I delivered out of Overlook for LO #1 and LOVED it, but recently moved and am too far away. Anyone have a c-section out of Valley Hospital since the renovation? Did you have your own bathroom? I don't want to have to share/schedule a time to use /walk down the hall in front of everyone to use the bathroom after surgery. It may sound silly, but it's a deal breaker for me. Thanks!

i had a scheduled c section out of valley in dec....i was in the cheel wing...my room had it's own bathroom with a shower, i'm pretty sure all the rooms have a bathroom, just mine was the only one with a shower (the stall was smaller than a phone booth...it was tiny!)

i'm not sure about the rooms in the bergen wing....i think that's where i was prepped in one of the ldr rooms, and that room had a nice sized shower and bathroom....but i think all c-sections end up in the cheel wing? but i can't say for certain...

i will tell you that i had the best experience...all the nurses were fantastic.....

I don't have experience delivering there, but I will say that my SIL had her two babies there, my cousin just delivered there and several friends have delivered there (I was born there, too but that was a very long time ago haha).  I'm trying to remember and I think my SIL had her own bathroom.  She def had a private room and I think I remember there being a door to a bathroom when I visited.

I haven't heard anyone dislike their experience there out of all the folks I know.

My best friend delivered last july(C-sect) and plans to again this Aug(C-sect). She had her own bathroom...

I personally would only go to
Valley!!             EVER

They have a million ppl checking up on you... they have harpest's playing in the hallways its rediculous hah.
