So, after lots of crazy the past 3 weeks with a crappy SA, denied 2 high-quality embryo guarantee and endometritis, the stars finally aligned.   DH had a much better repeat SA, we were approved for the guarantee, and we found a donor we really like.  She pretty much meets everything we are looking for (with the exception of eye color), BUT this will be her first cycle.  I really wanted a proven donor, but DH and I thought she was such a good fit for our family that we decided to take a chance.  I'm worried about her being unproven, but feel some comfort in knowing that we'll have the guarantee to fall back on.  It's funny -- she resembles me in MANY respects, but I was kind of hoping for a "better" me!  Ha!

Today was a whirlwind with picking the donor and sending in paperwork...I start Lupron tomorrow!   If all goes well, we're looking at a transfer right around the second week of May.  Scary!

    Dec' 26, 2013 - hb!!
    EDD 8/20/14 with a baby girl!
    Little S was born on 8/21/14 - 8lb, 14 oz and 20 inches long.
    We live in Seattle and used SRM for our donor egg IVF cycle

    Yay!! Great news! If its any comfort, we went with an unproven donor and I'm now pg with twins :) Everyone has to start somewhere :)

    DD conceived with no issues, but born at 33 weeks due to PPROM

    07/2011 dx with a Balanced Translocation
    9/2011-decided on domestic infant adoption 10/2011-signed with an agency and getting ready for homestudy :)
    12-2012-after being with our agency over a year and only shown to EM once we decided to talk with RE about DEIVF. Thru a crazy sequence of events we decided to go for it and we picked a donor MUCH quicker than anticipated
    1/13/2013-started lupron with anticipated transfer in mid Feb.
    ER 2/15 resulted in 15 eggs/10M/6F with ICSI.
    2/18 transferred 1-8cell and 1-9cell embie. Snuggle in little embies.
    positive on HPT 6dp3dt. Could this really be IT?!?! Beta 14dp3dt=2440. U/S scheduled for 3/20. Pregnancy Ticker

    GL!!  My donor's first cycle also gave her recipients twins, all donors have to start somewhere.....glad that you have found your match!
    TTC since 10/09 Me-43 DH-44 RE and testing 10/10-11/10, Recommending IVF 1/11 New RE AMA and DOR-DH low motility IVF #1.1 cancelled 3/11 due to poor response IVF #1.2 May 2011, one perfect 8-cell embryo, 3dt-BFN, IVF #2.1 Converted to IUI d/t poor response. New RE 9/2011. IVF 2.2 completed using HGH,EPP,DHEA, Q-10 and accupuncture. Transferred one 8-cell, grade one embryo on 10/19. BFP 10/31/11 Chemical pregancy on 11/2/11.     We just chose ours a couple of weeks ago, finished up paperwork last week.
    I can't tell you how much better I feel already.

    DE/DS IVF #2: (4/14) - 1 day 5 blast transferred...BFFN...again.

    FET 5/14: 1 day 5 hatching blast transferred...another BFFN

    Repeat SHG 6/14-normal / Endometrial Receptivity Array biopsy 7/14-Receptive Uterus

    New RE, additional testing reveals elevated NK Cells

    How exciting!  And how amazing that you can start so quickly.  Sending lots of good vibes and, as others have mentioned, every proven donor was unproven once. :)

    Yay for finding a donor!! Very exciting :)

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    Thanks, ladies!  She is 22, so hopefully her eggs will sustain the thaw, etc.  (We're doing frozen DE.)

    Good luck to you!  Congrats on picking a donor.  It's such a big decision.  The director of our agency told me that the pregnancy rates for their unproven donors was actually modestly higher than the proven ones.  With that information
