Q's for the OBGYN

Hi Ladies,

I'm new here. I'm been a member of TK for the last 3 years but DH and I will be TTC shortly so I've decided to make the jump.  I'm scheduled for my annual at the OB/GYN next month. I'm currently on birth control but planning to get off of it soon.  I just don't know where to start. What should I bring up/ ask at my appointment next month? Thanks.

I didn't ask any questions. I just said we plan on trying in the next year and she told me when to stop taking BC and to start taking a prenatal.

How "aggressively" will you be TTC? Are you planning on charting/temping at all? If you're not already aware of these methods I think this would be a great subject of conversation between you and your doctor, particularly as you regulate from coming off

My DH and I were mildly interested in TC this year and discussed it with my OBGYN in Jan. She told me to take 2 Flintstones vitamins a day and it does the same as a prenatal but far less likely to induce nausea and they taste so good. We got a big cont

If you need any dental work done it is best to do it before you get pregnant, since they don't like to use novocaine if you are.

I just had my annual yesterday with a new OB/GYN and all she said to me was to start a PNV and have fun trying :-)  Other than that, there wasn't a whole lot else to discuss!
