Tofu?

Our pedi suggested we give LO tofu since she isn't really interested in meat.  She loves it!  However, it says to use within 5 days.  She only eats a really small amount, and the rest of us don't eat it.  Any tofu eaters out there?  Any way around this 5 days rule.  Can you cook it and make it last a couple days more?  Has anyone had success with freezing it?

We are vegetarians, including our 12 month old daughter, so we eat a bit of tofu. Any reason why you don't eat it? We fry it in a little oil and add it to stir fry or to a curry dish. It is really good browned that way! You could also make a tofu smoot

You don't have to cook it before freezing it unless you want to.  But like PP said, freezing it will change the texture.

My son eat some tofu most days with his lunch.  I don't use mine up in 5 days... I guess I missed that!  I store it in water in an air tight container in the fridge.  It usually takes about 2 weeks to use up.

Thanks!  The smoothie sounds like a great idea for DH and I.  I can't get over the texture of it
