So just got back from my follow up appointment. It was hard, especially since we had to sit in the waiting room for half an hour! Not good. Anyway, met with our OB who is amazing. She said that there was no found cause for Ana's death. She originally thought that the small amount of clotting in the placenta was the cause, but the report said the clots were very small. So, no answers. This is bittersweet, because on one hand I'm glad I don't have a disease or 'did something' to hurt my baby or cause her death. But...we have no answers. She said this is rare, and shouldn't happen again but of course there is no guarantee. I'm doing some blood work just to make sure I don't have a blot clotting issue. She did say we could start trying again, which is nice.
Wew. That was a lot. I'm sure it will take a few days to sink in.
Re: OB follow up
I'm glad nothing was found to be wrong, but I can imagine that is very hard to still not have any answers. It's a double edge sword. Hugs to you, I am sure that was a difficult appointment.
