Favorite 80s movies

Annette Funicello passed away today.  While most will remember her as a Mouseketeer, hearing her name made me think of a silly 80s movie "Back to the Beach".  It featured not only Frankie Avalon and Annette, but also Gilligan, Pee Wee Herman and Becky from Full House (Lori Laughlin).

I miss those fun silly movies that were funny without being filled with f-bombs.  (Hey, I'm no prude, but I've got kids now and have to be careful about what's on)  Movies like Summer Rental, One Crazy Summer, The Great Outdoors.  Classic comedies.

I think it's nostalgia time.    What are your favorite silly movies from the 80s - or even other decades for that matter?

  • For those of you who need an 80s fix, try the Carrie Diaries. Yes, Carrie is ridiculously perky, but I feel like I am watching an hour long John Hughes movie every Monday. And I love the character, Mouse. At least I think that is the name of the n

Seriously, you should narrow it down by year. What was the best movie of 1986? 1987? 1988?
