Scheduling of a repeat c/s

So...how does this work? Will it be on my due date? Before so I don't go into labor? I'm seeing my RE right now, so of course he won't be doing the surgery and I'll be with him through at least 12 weeks they said, so I'm not sure who to ask!

Around here they are generally scheduled for 39 weeks.

I am having a scheduled c/s at 39w. The hospital will not do it sooner than that except when medically necessary. I think sometime between 39-40weeks is standard so that you don't go into labor.

Normally they aren't scheduled until 39w.

I'm scheduled for 39w4d. They schedule during week 39 at my ob

Mine will be at 38 weeks and 2 days.  Where I am from, scheduled c-sections are on Tuesday and Friday.

I was told anytime in the 39th week. Mine was exactly 39 weeks due to my OB's schedule and when Easter fell this year.

DD2 was scheduled for just after 40 weeks because I was attempting a vbac if she came before my due date.

I think 39th is normal - mine will be week 38 as I had complications last time and they told me I couldn't go past 38 weeks with the next one! Just found out I'm expecting again so I can't wait to hear what they say about this...I would rather bake as lon

My OB schedules them at 39 weeks.

My hospital won't allow it to be before 39w. State law actually, unless it is medically needed.
