DS has always cuddled with me before bedtime. He never sits still and cuddles any other time, just at night. He'd lay his head against me and start to close his eyes while I sing to him and pray.
All of a sudden for the past week instead of cuddling he's been kicking, hitting, squirming, crying, and screaming instead. The only thing we've recently changed about the bedtime routine is no more sippy cup of milk...but that was several weeks ago. I now read him a book instead, but that doesn't seem to settle him down at all.
Is this the end of the cuddles since he's older and wants to play more? Just a stage? Could this be a sign to push his bedtime a little later...maybe he's not quite ready yet? I miss that time with him every day ![]()
