I had my dating u/s last weds. The baby is measuring right on schedule and edd is oct.28th! I've heard that if the babies heart rate is 140 and lower boy. 140 and higher girl. My babies heart was thumping at 174. How many of you second time moms believe in this? It's my first baby so thought I'd get opinions!

My daughter's heartrate stayed at a consistent 160 my entire pregnancy. This baby's hb has been 154 so far. We'll see! It's mostly just an old wive's tale, but they can be fun if you don't take them too seriously.

Ours was 175 at our US Friday! Dh and I looked it up and there's no correlation between the two. Baby's heart rate changes and is sometimes close to moms at certain stages.
An old wives tale but fun to guess anyway! At least we only have 2 months or

I don't remember Elijah's heartrate, but I can tell you it is an old wive's tale.

I have two boys and one was always very high while the other was low. It's the most inconsistent OWT of them all IMO.
