Really dumb nap question

I know my kid is exhausted... I put her down in her crib a good half hour ago.  She's been quiet, but is stil awake.  What do you do?  I am so bad with nap time.  TIA.

Re: Really dumb nap question

  • I'd leave her. Sometimes Audra wakes up from her nap but sits quietly in her crib and I leave her alone until she gets upset/mad. 9 out of 10 times she will lay back down and sleep for a little bit longer.

  • Leave her alone. Sometimes Eli does this and I think he just needs to unwind before falling asleep. I know there are nights I can't fall asleep right away.

  • Aria stays in her crib for the normal duration of her nap [so, roughly 2 hours] whether she's sleeping or not. As long as she's happy and playing, I let her have that "alone time". I only go and get her early if she cries. She plays through a nap at least

. It usually results in a 3 hour afternoon nap, instead of another 2 hour nap. :0]

  • If it's nap time and she's awake but happy, I leave her in there. Sometimes she falls asleep but sometimes not. But I figure either way it's a rest period for her and every baby/toddler needs to take breaks to relax throughout the day!
