Best birthing classes?

I'm hoping you might be able to share your experiences with the various child birth prep classes in the Portland area. I don't know what method I'm interested in, so I'm open to all suggestions.

I will deliver at OHSU and I know they have a class, but I think it is a one time overview thing.

I'd really appreciate your suggestions.

I don't believe you have to be delivering at Providence to take them, but I would double check.  I took Childbirth Prep, Infa

  • I took HypnoBirthing with Kristen at Zenana Spa.  It was great and I highly recommend it.  If you're on the SE side you can take the class at the spa, if you're in NE you can take it at Kristen's house.  We did it at her house and it was

  • My cousin is a nurse at OHSU and said good things about their birth classes. They have one session or multiple session options.

I'm taking mine through St Vincents.

  • I took "yoga way to birth" classes. They take place in SE, and information is on their website. Yeah, it's "crunchy portland" but I LOVED it. : If you're into yoga/meditation you may love it too. You get all the typical birth info prep plus yoga practic
