So it'll be 2 weeks ago tuesday since DD went to the dr because a boil came up on her cheek

I put the compress on it and the puss drained by that sunday. Does anyone have any idea how long the redness will stay? its more of a pink color and shiny. Im TERRIFIED that its leaving a scar behind. Any suggestions? I can still feel a small bump under the skin. Should i keep putting the compress on it? I've been using vitamin e on the skin. Her 4 mo appt is monday so i do plan on discussing it with her pedi then.
