C-sections

New and a question

I have Crohn's disease and I have a lot going on in my nether region.  So I brought it up yesterday at my appointment, that I was getting VERY anxious about a vaginal birth.  My Dr completely understood and said that if I thought it was the right thing to do to have a schedule C-section then she would schedule it.  My question is anyone have to deal with Crohn's and a c-section?  My Dr. feels I could deliver vaginally but also understands that if I go neurotic in delivery it will slow everything down .... I still have 11 weeks til I am due.

Thanks.

  • I have already had a resection. I already have diaherra . Tearing and pooping I already have problems. I came back from a vertical surgery in six weeks. It just seems for me like a better option. Heck I don't know. The idea of healing after tearing

  • Just wanted to say by no means did I mean any offense since I really have no idea what complications chrons can entail when it comes to daily living nevermind labor.

However with that said, I had a vaginal birth and it really isn't as bad as
  • I agree with the PP that you should ask this question of the specialist that sees you for your condition. I don't know what it would take to aggravate your system but during this last csection my intestines were on the table to allow my doctor the access
